Центр Гамалеи готов создать вакцину против лихорадки Западного Нила
Центр эпидемиологии и микробиологии имени Гамалеи готов приступить к разработке вакцины от лихорадки Западного Нила, сообщил директор центра Александр Гинцбург. Он отметил, что вакцину можно создать практически против любой инфекции, однако для этого требуется дополнительное финансирование и целенаправленные усилия. Если возникнет необходимость, Центр эпидемиологии и микробиологии имени Гамалеи готов разработать вакцину против лихорадки Западного Нила.
Лихорадка Западного Нила – это инфекционное заболевание с такими симптомами, как высокая температура, головная боль, мышечные боли и сыпь. Согласно заявлению Роспотребнадзора, случаи лихорадки Западного Нила были зарегистрированы в 22 регионах России.
